CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS

LEAD ROLES

SISSY LAWRENCE (female, early 20s, Caucasian) – Attractive college junior who decides to visit her grandfather during spring break.   Even though she’s in college, she’s a mountain girl at heart.   When Sissy learns that her grandfather might lose his bar, her and her sorority sisters decide to put on a charity mud wrestling event.  But when the plan to save Pop’s Roadhouse doesn’t quite go as expected, Sissy and her friends decide to do whatever it takes to save her family’s business.  She also reconnects with a high school friend, Jason, who works for the competition.

CHARLES “POP” LAWRENCE (male, early/mid 60s, Caucasian) – Sissy’s grandfather and owner of Pop’s Roadhouse, a local bar that has definitely seen better days.  When a new bar opens up in town, Pop ends up losing his most loyal customers and finds himself on the verge of losing his business.  Amiable and good natured, Pop will always put his family before money.

BIGGIE COLLINS (male, 40s-50s, Caucasian) – Ruthless businessman who believes in profit over people.  Owner of Biggie’s Bikini Lounge, a more risqué bar that’s eating up all of Pop’s business.  He originally offers to buy the Roadhouse, but when Pop refuses to take his dirty money, Biggie sets out to destroy the old man.  He has a tendency to be charming one minute and merciless the next.

JASON (male, early 20s, Caucasian) – Good looking bartender who works at Biggie’s Bikini Lounge.  Jason went to high school with Sissy and was a bit of outcast.  Jason struggles with working for a businessman like Biggie.  He doesn’t want to see Pop’s Roadhouse close and decides to help Sissy with the charity event, even if it means losing his job.

SUPPORTING ROLES

CANDACE (female, early 20s, any ethnicity) – Sissy’s sorority sister.  Candace goes with Sissy to the mountains on spring break, but would rather be at the beach.  She is primarily concerned with boys and partying, but she is more than willing to help Sissy and Pop.  Candace tends to be more on the ditzy side.

HEATHER (female, early 20s, any ethnicity) – Sissy’s sorority sister.  She would rather relax than party during spring break.  Heather hangs out with Candace and is the more level-headed of the two.

WALTER (male, early/mid 60s, Caucasian) – Pop’s best friend and only customer left.  A retired Vietnam Vet, Walter spends the majority of his time at the Roadhouse hanging out with Pop and drinking for free.  He’s a little goofy but when his best friend is in need, he’s there to help.

SHERIFF WALKER (male, 40s-50s, Caucasian) – A corrupt sheriff and Biggie’s right hand man.  Sheriff Walker spends more time at Biggie’s Bikini Lounge than he does doing his job.  He doesn’t care too much for Jason and can’t wait to see Pop’s business fail.

JESSIE (female, 20s-30s, Caucasian) – Biggie’s number one waitress who’s tough as nails.  She has a crush on Jason, though he doesn’t seem to show any interest in her.  When she catches Jason talking to Sissy, she sets her sights on Sissy and can’t wait to get her hands on her.

MARIE (female, early 20s, any ethnicity) – Sissy’s sorority sister.  Candace calls her to round up the girls back at the dorm.  She’s pretty and she also know how to throw a punch.

ERIKA (female, early 20s, any ethnicity) – Sissy’s sorority sister.  Like Candace, she’s a bit of a party girl, but she can hold her own in the ring.

CARMEN (female, 20s-30s, Hispanic) – A fiery Latina.  She works for Biggie and is the Sheriff’s favorite waitress.  She has a particular disdain for Candace.

SERENA (female, 20s-30s, any ethnicity) – Another one of Biggie’s waitresses.  She also can’t stand the sorority girls.  On the night of the big show, she accidentally drinks something that makes her act a little weird.

KAT (female, 20s-30s, any ethnicity) – Biggie’s newest waitress.  Kat catches the eye of Aubrey, and likes what she sees.  She’s more concerned with getting in the ring with Aubrey than winning.

ANNA (female, 20s-30s, any ethnicity) – Another one of Biggie’s waitresses.  She did a lot of partying in her youth.   She’s a little strung out but she’s still tough.
